Government of India has provided us with several schemes and programs to empower and support the youth in various aspects, including education, skill development, entrepreneurship, and employment. Here are number of the existing schemes and programs:

These are some handful of Programmes initiated by goverement to cultivate one's inner self and by assisting them with helping financial needs. Goverement even, facilitated for financial assistance to new born girls of specific age group, which would too assist them in pursuing their chosen carrier lines like, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, or Educational Scholarships this too comes under Youth Devlopement.
With a view to engage youth and their empowerment guided by the principles of ‘whole of government approach’, in a rapidly changing world, which has an environment of high velocity communications, social media, new digital opportunities and rapid stimulating technologies the Government has decided to further expand the Youth Devlopement thread in a form of a new Autonomous Body, namely Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat).
The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved establishment of programme Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), said Information and Broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur. "The platform can act as a one-stop platform for youth and initiatives to engage with them. It will also help in two-way communication," he added.
"There are nearly 40 crore youth in the country who are in the age group of 15-19 years. We have decided to launch My (Mera Yuva) Bharat platform for them," said the minister addressing Cabinet briefing.
